Erin doesn’t remember a time when an animal wasn’t part of her life, dogs, cats, horses, guinea pigs, and even a squirrel have all had a place in it. She’s been working in the veterinary field since 2009, starting out in a mixed animal practice in rural Queensland before moving to Canada in 2012.
Erin worked her way through reception, veterinary assistant, and practice manager roles before enrolling in tech school, completing her Registered Veterinary Technologist diploma through TRU’s distance program in 2024. She joined Lifting Stars in May 2025.
Erin doesn’t have any pets of her own in Canada, it feels like a betrayal to her 17-year-old pup, Thelma, who stayed behind with family in Australia, though she visits every year. She considers herself more outside-y than outdoorsy, and you’re more likely to find her on a patio with friends, at a pub quiz, pet-sitting one of her many four-legged pals, or playing social league netball than hiking up a mountain. She’s currently saving up for a wildlife volunteer program in Africa.
