🤍 In Loving Memory of My Sweet Brando 🤍
Eight years ago, in the UAE, a little skinny kitten unexpectedly found his way into my life.
Every day, while walking my dog Monroe at a nearby park, this tiny Arabian Mau would appear out of nowhere and try to play with my little dog. On the third day, he followed us all the way home. I opened the door, he walked right in—and from that moment, he was home. The rest is history.
Brando was never just a cat. He was my little best friend, my companion, and a beautiful part of my heart. He was a chatty boy with such a big personality. We had long conversations, and somehow, I always knew what he was trying to tell me.
He and Monroe became the sweetest siblings, and together we became a little family.
In 2020, the three of us left the UAE and made Vancouver our home. Through every journey and every change, Brando was by my side.
One of the things I will miss most is how, in the middle of the night, if he was hungry or wanted to cuddle, he would gently tap my face with his little paw to wake me. Such a simple gesture, but one I would give anything to feel again.
I will miss the belly rubs, the purrs, his meows, watching him basking in the sun while laying on his hammock by the window…
Brando filled my heart with a kind of love that only a special animal can give. I gave him a home, but he gave me so much more—love, companionship, laughter, comfort, and memories I will carry forever.
And when it was time for him to leave this world, Dr. Berkshire and Lifting Stars helped give my sweet boy the peace and dignity he deserved. For that, I will always be grateful.
Brando, you came into my life by simply walking through my door, and somehow, you found your way into my heart forever.
You were loved every single day of your life. You will be missed every single day of mine.
Until we meet again, my sweet boy.
